How To Wear Your Heart On Your Puff Sleeves?

By TGB Desk / On October 21st, 2017

Hello Fashionistas! With wedding season upon us, it’s time to talk about this season’s favourite fashion trend: Puff Sleeves. Yes, puff sleeved blouses, once a very popular trend, made a fashionable comeback. It has been given a new lease of life by movies like Bahubali (remember the attire of Anushka aka Devasena?). We feel this trend makes a comeback every few years. Have you ever seen your grand mothers’ (and mothers’) wedding album? Okay, that was a rhetorical question. The real question is, do you remember how gorgeous they looked in their elaborate Kanjeevarams or Banrasis that are teamed up with puff sleeved blouses? Well, the puffs are back and are about to become wedding wardrobe staple of the new age brides too! And why not, they add a touch of elegance to any outfit.

This new statement sleeve is very classy, very vintage, but you need to keep a few things in mind before you experiment with this trend.
Here are a few tips for those brides who want to opt for puff sleeves –

1. From flamboyant puff sleeves (that are bunched up heavily at the crown and the hem of the sleeve making a much fuller puff) to not-so-traditional deflated puff sleeves and from cute mega sleeves to elaborate three fourths, there are many options to choose from. So decide on a style depending on your tastes and comfort.

2. They add volume to the upper half of the body and so petite women look gorgeous in puff sleeves. And that’s exactly the reason why plus sized women and those who have broad shoulders need to be a little careful while choosing an apt pattern. Oh, and by the way, these sleeves do a wonderful job in hiding the upper arm flaws.

3. Want to make a style statement? Then you must try the gigantic and voluminous balloony sleeves.

4. It’s a given that the type of fabric used for the sleeves is very important. Cotton, net and silk work best. But again, choose a fabric that suits the saree fabric and the occasion.

5. Women with toned arms look stunning in puff sleeves. So what are you waiting for? Get up, put on your gym clothes and break a sweat!

Okay, it’s time to swoon over some fluffy and puffy sleeves. We have put together a list of 10 brides who rocked puff sleeves like a star….
