How To Incorporate Pantone’s Colour Of The Year 2018 “Ultra Violet” Into Your Bridal Trousseau

By TGB Desk / On December 18th, 2017

Yay! Yay! Yay! The Colour gods have spoken. Come December, the colour experts at Pantone select a colour that would reign for the next twelve months. From ramps to streets and from home decor to wedding decor, this is going to be the go-to colour.

Meet this year’s colour…Pantone 18-3838 Ultra Violet!

To be honest, we don’t believe in following fashion trends blindly. We don’t think anybody should. We believe in personal style and designs that are timeless. But this year, we have decided to welcome this colour trend with open arms and there is a reason why. This is such a gorgeous colour to incorporate into your wedding wardrobe. Isn’t it? Oh, and by the way, you need not confine yourself to violet. Do try its sister shades as well.

Pantone describes their colour as “a dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking and that points towards the future.”

Apart from being a great colour, we think it’s apt for weddings. Weddings are new beginnings and future hopes, right?

Brides these days make a lot of effort to put their best fashion foot forward. And do you think their life partners would be left far behind? No way! Think it’s too deep a hue for men? Think again! This groom is looking dapper in his traditional attire, right?

Is this rich hue of violet too much for you? But you still want to include it in your wedding ensemble? Don’t fret! Just go for a saree with a hint of purple in the border and then team it up with a bridal blouse in purple for that lovely effect.

Floral Accessories

At the risk of sounding as a broken record, an accessory that can transform a simple girl to a princess is the braid that’s adorned with fresh flowers (Poola jada). And a bridal braid adorned with violet blooms will make you look like a queen!
