The Reception Was Unbelievable!

One thing to remember about your wedding reception is that it has to please you. Don't be misled in to having something that someone else wants, whether that someone is the person paying for it or the wedding planner who is making their living out of it!  It has to have your stamp on it and to reflect what you want and how you think.  

Having said that, obviously cost is important and can't be ignored.  Depending on your vision, the cost can soar out of control in a minute if you don't set budget limits in advance.  Don't leave the budget until you realize you can't afford the wedding that other people are planning for you.

Endless possibilities.  I love this possibility.  Have the ceremony and the reception  at Tavern on the Green in Central Park. Set in the middle of the park itself and enclosed in its own magical environment of sculpture gardens and fantastic lighting arrangements, Tavern on the Green is a very special environment for a couple.  All the more special if the City is within easy reach of the bulk of the guest list.  This could be the gorgeous setting you are looking for your reception. I've attended a couple of wonderland style weddings there.  

It would impossible to list all the locales for you to consider in this article, but I do urge you to consider that this day in your lives belongs to you and to no one else. It will be wonderful to celebrate it with your family and friends but the choices should be your style and make you happy.  If it does, everyone who is a guest will have a great time too!
